Weekly weigh in

This week I started off really well, I exercised on Monday morning following The fat burn revolution and then went for a spontaneous run in the afternoon with my husband. It was completely unplanned and a last minute thing and I felt great!

The rest of the week I have been super busy at work and not done much. I did a small amount of excercise from The fat burn revolution on Thursday and Friday morning and a quick swim on Friday afternoon.

I didn't really change my diet at all this week I wanted to see if just exercising daily would help, although I didn't get chance to do that. I'm going to try again this week to do daily exercise, although tomorrow I have a full day at work so that will have to be my rest day!

I'm shocked to report a loss of 1lb this week. I'm really not sure how I managed that but I did! I think it will prove better to exercise rather than following a diet plan, but we will see for next week. I'm going to try very hard to cut chocolate out in the week and maybe just have a treat at the weekend.

Starting weight: 13st
Current weight: 12st 12lb
Weight lost: 2lb

Weekly weigh in (THE FAT BURN REVOLUTION REVIEW)

Today I have come to the realisation that I am a yo-yo dieter. I diet for a week or two and lose half a stone, then I forget about the diet and pile it all back on again. I have a huge problem with chocolate and I'm totally addicted. It's rubbish.

I got on the scales this morning and have put 4lb on since last time I weighed myself 3 weeks ago. So here are my stats:

Starting weight: 13st
Current weight: 12st 13lb
Weight lost: 1lb

I have new inspiration though! The fat burn Revolution The Fat burn Revolution by Julia Buckley. Everything in this book is broken down - food, emotions, habits, exercises and a plan to follow. I have spent the last week reading the book and noting down key things to help me.

The book starts by giving you some information about the writer, Julia. It's nice to know she wasn't always into sport and fitness. ThenI it goes on to really get you in the right frame of mind to make changes and admit where you are going wrong. She goes on to explain how and why the plan is going to work. She doesn't preach about food, she just suggests things to avoid.

I'm really excited to follow Julia's plan and I have already done the first lot of exercises today. I dropped the children off at school and it took me 20 minutes. 20 minutes is no time really and I'm sure most people can find that in a day. The exercises are really easy to follow as there are detailed instructions and pictures to help.

Overall I think this is a really positive book and I would definitely recommend it to help you on your weight loss journey, its really informative and its really good for getting you into the right mindset of exercising.

It gives you daily exercises to do over a 12 week period. Its great that the exercise aren't the same and there is something different to do on each day.
I am going to try and follow this book as much as I can. I think I can stick to an exercise plan rather than a diet plan.

Better still you can download it right now onto your kindle so you can easily take it with you to remind yourself what you are doing that day.

Come back next week to see how I'm doing :)

Weekly weigh in

Hello there! Its been a while since I last blogged mainly because I've been ill. I've had a horrible cough and cold for the past two weeks and just not felt like blogging or doing much else really. But I'm on the mend now and feeling much better.

I shouldn't really call  this a weigh in because I haven't actually weighed myself. Although whilst I have been ill I have been eating extra things that I shouldn't I have tried not to go overboard. I haven't weighed myself because I don't want to get disheartened which I easily do.

I'm just going to try and be good this week and continue exercising and making good food choices. By next Monday I'm really hoping I will be the same as I last time I weighed myself which was 12st8lb.

This week I'm going to be reviewing The fat burn Revolution by Julia Buckley. I'm hoping to pick up some hints and tips on good exercises and ways to burn fat!

Hows your weigh loss going?

Weekly weigh in (EXANTE REVIEW)

If you read my last weekly weigh in you will know that I have been doing the Exante weight loss diet. I did really well the first few days then I started to sneak in a little cake (cake day at work) and last night I completely fell off the band wagon and had a pasta dinner with everyone else. Also I didn't fit in the daily recommended 20 minutes of exercise.

The meals are made up from shakes, porridge, soup and evening meals. The evening meals certainly take some getting used to and towards the end of the week I found them easier to eat I wouldn't say they were tasteless but they certainly don' taste as good as 'normal' spaghetti bolognese or chicken curry. There are no chunks of meat and they is a very fine texture to the meals, they are almost like a chunky soup.

However I loved the shakes and the porridge, they were so tasty and really set you up for the day. I couldn't chose a favourite flavour milkshake as I thought they were all nice. As for the porridge it was actually the nicest porridge I've ever had. I probably liked them because they tasted so sweet and I do have a sweet tooth. They both kept me full until dinnertime.

I didn't enjoy the lunch time soups as much as the breakfast. I felt like they tasted as if they were bulked out abit and I thought you could tell they were made from a powder. Again though most of the time I didn't feel hungry.

Overall I would definitely do the diet again IF you can choose the meals that you are sent. I didn't particularly enjoy the soups but if I could have the porridge for breakfast and the shakes for lunch it would work perfectly for me. I didn't feel hungry during the week which I thought I would, I never thought looking at the packets that they would be enough for me to last the week.

I lost 6lb this week which I'm super impressed with. It the most I've ever lost in a single week so I would consider doing it for a longer period of time if I could choose the meals.

This week I'm going to concentrate on getting enough exercise in rather than what I'm eating. What are your thoughts on Exante diet, would you try it?

Weekly weigh in

One of my resolutions this year is to loose weight, in fact I want to be around 10 stone by the end of the year. I plan on doing this with plenty of exercise and good food choices.

I did weekly weigh in last year but gave up at the beginning of December when all the festivities started.

This week I am reviewing the exante diet and have my meals planned out for the next 7 days. I'm hoping its going to give me a real boost that I need to get me on my way.

This morning I started with a banana shake which was actually delicious. The diet recommends at least 20 mins of exercise each day and to drink 2 litres of water.

If you fancy joining me on the exante diet there's a groupon deal at the moment with a 68% discount. There are only 2 days left to buy. I will be doing a full review when I've finished though.

I weighed myself this morning and I knew it was going to be bad, I ate so much chocolate over the Christmas period and had many meals out. When I stood on the scales I weighed 13st, I'm really disappointed in myself that I put 7lb on over Christmas.

Is anyone else trying to loose weight, leave your links and I will follow your progress!

Weigh in

I'm finally over cough, cold and flu like symptoms. And fingers crossed all the germs floating around will stay away from me now.

I missed last weeks weight in just because I felt so ill I couldn't be bothered weighing myself. I haven't exercised for 2 weeks so I just felt it was pointless.

I'm back on the wagon this week though. I weighed myself this morning and I have been really careful with what I have eaten. I'm planning to fit a couple of runs in this week as well.

Start weight: 12st 10lb
Weight now: 12st 7lb
Weight loss 3lb

I feel like its going to be almost impossible to loose weight in the run up to Christmas but if I could at least maintain it I will be happy with that. I have my brother's 21st party on Friday so I guess thats the first hurdle...

Weekly weigh in

I'm a bit fed up this week. I weigh the same even after a 4 mile run last night and a big swim on Friday.

I'm getting abit disheartened.

I've have Toby off school ill last week and he kindly gave it to me, so I haven't been eating great. I feel like I'm always full of excuses and I don't want to be.

I'm going to try one more week on carb-free and see how I go if i still don't lose I think it might be time to change tactics. The thing with carb free is that the food is so boring and very much the same things. Today I have had mushroom omelette for breakfast and three sausages for lunch. Tonight dinner is going to be chicken fillet stuffed with sausage meat and wrapped in bacon with veg.

Start weight: 12st 10lb
Weight now: 12st 6lb
Weight loss: 4lb

Weekly weigh in

I knew I wouldn't lose weight this week as I've been making tasty cakes and hearty meals all week. So when I stepped on the scales this morning I was hardly surprised I had put on 1lb.

I should have actually weighed myself yesterday but I was rushing around in the morning and I had ate my breakfast before I remembered and there is no way I was weighing myself afterwards!

Whilst at work today I found some inspiration, in the form of Cheryl Cole's 'belfie'. Now I'm not saying when I look like this from behind I'm going to start posting 'belfies' all over my blog and social media.... but it would be nice if I could...you know if I wanted to :)

HOT!

I will probably NEVER get this toned and slim, but it did inspire me to go for a run tonight!

Weight: 12.6 stone
Total loss: 4lb
